HuffPost works hard to protect Hamas, vilify Israel - again

.
Summary:
  • HuffPost, the world's most-read online "newspaper," published not a single story on its front page or World page about Hamas's recent rocket, missile and mortar attacks against Israel.  Instead, it published "news" stories about "robot sex," etc., and about how Israel was considering resuming "targeted assassinations" of Gazans.
  • HuffPost then twisted its headlines in order to depict Israel as the aggressor, and "Gaza" (presumably civilians) as the victims - the exact narrative that Hamas employs.
  • HuffPost's incitement resulted in a torrent of anti-Semitic and anti-Israel user comments, all of which it reviewed, approved and decided to publish - even though it claims it does not allow, and will not publish such comments.

Between October 23 and November 6 Hamas and its allies perpetrated four terror attacks against Israel.  During the previous month, Hamas et al fired more than 70 rockets into Israel.
HuffPost reported not a single one of these incidents on either its front page or World page.

On November 10, Hamas dramatically ratcheted up its attacks.  On that one day, it fired 25 rockets into Israel, and demonstrated its new advanced-weapons capability, by firing an anti-tank guided missile at an IDF jeep on routine patrol, launching it and its occupants an estimated 20 meters into the air, seriously injuring several Israeli soldiers.  Israel did not respond, except to warn Hamas and its allies that if the attacks didn't stop, there would be a serious price to pay.
HuffPost reported not a single one of these incidents on either its front page or World page.
From Nov. 10-14, Hamas et al fired at least 120 rockets and mortars into Israel.
HuffPost reported not a single one of these incidents on either its front page or World page.

So what types of "news" stories did HuffPost decide were more worthy of placement on its front page, than these attacks on Israel?

A sampling:

Finally, on November 13, HuffPost decided to begin "covering" events in Israel... sort of.

So did it hold Hamas, et al, to account for their attempts to murder Jewish civilians, and provoke Israel to defend itself?  Did it report on Hamas's endless anti-Semitic statements, and threats to eradicate all Jews in Israel?  Not exactly.

Once again, HuffPost made the conscious decision to turn the facts on their heads, and falsely depict Israel as the aggressor:

On Nov. 14, Israel decided to strike back against Hamas - and that's how most of the world media played the story, to one degree or another.

So how did HuffPost play the story?  By once again falsely depicting Israel as the aggressor --- and not against Hamas, but rather, against Gaza itself, presumably targeting and attacking civilians (the precise, libelous narrative that Hamas and its allies incessantly use).  This was HuffPost's World page earlier today:

At the same time, here was HuffPost's front page --- it decided to unleash its researchers and "editors" to root out Israel's "long history of targeted assassinations":

Analysis

This was no anomaly; rather, it is the most recent example of why we contend HuffPost is the West's #1 largest* Internet-based inciter of hate against Israel and Jews.  Example at right is documented here
(*HuffPost is the world's most-read online "newspaper")

Over the past four years, we've documented in extreme detail the fact that HuffPost has been methodically, incessantly inciting hate against Israel and Jews, while protecting and in some cases even humanizing the savages that constitute Hamas.  It does this primarily by rushing to the front page any Palestinian allegation against Israel, even when its editors have reason to know the story is not true --- yet it ignores, whitewashes or buries the stories of Hamas's targeting and savage murder of Jewish civilians, including children.  It also has a pattern of reversing the order of attacks, to depict Israel as the aggressor, when in fact it used its military to respond to terror attacks.

Recent incidents of HuffPost protecting Hamas, Al Qaeda, and other militant Islamists:

Why Hamas loves HuffPost: Marwan Barghouti image-whitewashing edition
Why militant Islamists love HuffPost: Morsi vs Bibi edition
HuffPost: Cute puppies more newsworthy than 7 murdered Jews
HuffPost gives Palestinian murderer, IDF victim same moral status

HuffPost buries French Jewish school massacre below junk stories
Why Al Qaeda loves Arianna: "Dancing baby hippo" edition
Why Hamas loves HuffPost: 2011 Flotilla edition
Why militant Islamists love HuffPost: 6/10/11 Temple Mount riots edition
This practice is a fundamental clash of the lies that Arianna Huffington has been telling the public, and her advertisers, since HuffPost launched in 2005 --- that it is a "nonpartisan" newspaper, only interested in "ferreting out the truth" in journalism:
“[T]he news is not right-wing news or left-wing news, it's the news. And that will be the sensibility, that will basically permeate our news coverage.”
- May 3, 2005
“[T]oo many reporters have forgotten that the highest calling of journalists is to ferret out the truth, consequences be damned.”
- Arianna Huffington, July 29, 2008

“We are aiming to go beyond just facts, to create a narrative... [W]e think bringing journalism to a new level is exactly what people are looking for.”
- Arianna Huffington, October 20, 2009

ACTION ITEMS

If you believe HuffPost should stop inciting hatred against Israel and Jews, and protecting Hamas and other terrorist groups, we urge you to do three things:

(1) Make your voice known to HuffPost's senior management here.

(2) Consider writing or calling one or more of HuffPost's top advertisers, to let them know your thoughts on what their ad dollars are enabling.
An easy way to approach this is to scan our easy-to-use directory and find one or two corporations that you are a customer of, or have stock in. Your concerns will automatically be given considerably more weight. Also, request a follow-up after they've had a chance to review the evidence; don't let them off the hook, or sweep this under the rug.

(3) Forward the link to this story along to others who support Jews and Israel --- particularly journalists!!!
