On October 19, 2010, HuffPost provided another object lesson in its depraved willingness to use any excuse to throw red meat out to the anti-Semitic propagandists that flock to the site, and whom it enables and protects to unleash their hate.
Amidst its continuing pattern of ignoring Hamas's attacks and threats against Jews --- while pushing pro-Hamas propaganda, and inciting anti-Israel hatred (more below) --- HuffPost decided to assign one of its "journalists" to cover this ghoulish story as "news," which it published near the top of its World page:

Keep in mind that HuffPost's comment policy claims that it prohibits,
and will not publish: "comments that celebrate the death, illness... of any person [...] hate speech [...] anti-Semitism [...] false claims or misleading implications that any individual or group perpetuates hate [...] the propagation of conspiracy theories"
Yet as we've documented repeatedly and extensively over the past three years, at HuffPost those high-minded principles simply do not apply to Israel and Jews.

So what kinds of user comments were incited by this "red meat" --- which HuffPost reviewed, approved and decided to publish? Need you ask?

Fact: HuffPost reviewed, approved and decided to publish every one of the following hate-filled comments, in response to its incitement. This is but a sampling of the 91 comments that HuffPost published as of 6:00am on Oct. 20 on the thread.
Also, note how many of these users have 200-700 or more "fans," meaning they are not hit and run "trolls" that Ms. Huffington falsely claims are the ones responsible for comments that violate her site's policies (above). And as you review these comments, ask yourself two questions:
(1) Could some of these "approved" users be cyber-jihadis, among the 350,000+ of HuffPost's unique monthly visitors originate in Muslim-majority nations --- including Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia?
(2) How do their hate-filled comments fundamentally differ from those one would find at al-Jazeera, or a radical Islamist hate site?

Recent examples of how HuffPost neglects to cover Hamas outrages.... while pushing pro-Hamas, anti-Israel propaganda

HuffPost made the conscious decision to assign one of its writers to cover this.... "story" about Ariel Sharon. Normally, HuffPost merely posts stories from the AP or Reuters from the Middle East --- but in this case, it actually wrote its own story.
In recent weeks, however, there has been no shortage of outrageous acts by Hamas --- none of which HuffPost has chosen to cover --- even by merely posting the AP source story:
- A Hamas cleric celebrating its murder of Jewish civilians, and urging more of the same
- Hamas's continuing attacks on Jewish civilians, and threats of more
- Any of the rest of Hamas's genocidal threats against Jews
On the flipside, HuffPost has prominently run two fawning, one-on-one interviews that its Middle East correspondent/Islamist propagandist Sharmaine Narwani recently scored with Hamas's chief: part 1 here (see Section 1), and part 2 here. Note that HuffPost had no problem with Narwani echoing Hamas's terminology, rhetoric and anti-Israel libels... while repeatedly claiming it is nonpartisan, and that journalism's highest mission should be to "ferret out the truth, consequences be damned."
Yet here are but a few examples of HuffPost's anti-Israel and anti-Semitic bias, and the anti-Israel propaganda it chooses to run on a regular basis, which invariably results in an orgy of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic hatred --- and which it reviews, approves and decides to publish:
10/4/10: More of HuffPost giving front-page, personalized coverage of Muslim deaths; Jewish victims of Muslim violence? Nope.
10/3/10: HuffPost publishes inflammatory, one-sided account of discredited anti-Israel "report"; users unleash hate-fest (HuffPost: "Approved!!!")
9/26/10: HuffPost shills for al Qaeda and Hamas (again), while propagandizing against Israel and the U.S. (again)
9/22/10: HuffPost shills for militant Islamists (again), spits in the faces of Jewish victims (again)

HuffPost gives no coverage to Hamas's continuing threats against Israel, and justification of mass-murder of Jews. Nor to an Egyptian Islamic scholar calling on Muslims the world over to engage in a grand jihad against America. Nor to a Quatari columnist explaining why Obama's appeasement of militant Islamists is emboldening them, while marginalizing and undermining Muslim reformers. Nor to an Italian author's new book, documenting the bloody price Israel has paid, year after year, for its attempts to live in peace with its neighbors.
Nope, to HuffPost, none of that is worthy of coverage --- but a sculpture of the comatose Ariel Sharon, and allowing cyber-jihadis to vent their hate and propaganda, is. Not only that, it has now elevated it to one of the three teasers atop the page devoted to the top story of the day:
