Addendum: HuffPost's long, documented history of engaging in "jihads" against other opponents

.
Continued from HuffPost uses Rep. Giffords as a political prop to falsely accuse conservatives, Sarah Palin of inciting shooter

Contrary to its proclaimed policy of "nonpartisanship," HuffPost has engaged in a multi-year "journalistic jihad" of inflammatory, false and/or misleading allegations against conservative individuals & organizations, the Tea Party, the U.S. military,* and Israel and Jews.
(* At right: See documentation of HuffPost's libel against American soldiers -- and its omission of critical information that vindicated it, here)

To the casual observer, it might appear incredible that, given these facts, and Ms. Huffington's most recent "jihad" against Sarah Palin and conservatives concerning the Arizona shootings, she would dare to make the following statement to the Washington Post on Monday, January 10:
Arianna Huffington, a creator of one of the most successful new partisan outlets, the left-leaning Huffington Post, argued that forums such as hers aren't to blame.

"My view," Huffington wrote in an e-mail, "is that there are lots of ways to be lively and put forth a strong opinion without demonizing one's opponent, or saying that he or she is an enemy of the United States and should be targeted. It's the demonization that is the problem, not the liveliness."

The fact is that as we've documented, HuffPost
routinely demonizes and vilifies its "opponents" (wait... how can a nonpartisan newspaper have "opponents"?) with the most inflammatory headlines imaginable. Further, as we've also documented, more often than not end up being completely false, or gross mischaracterizations of reality. Here are two articles that document this reality in detail:
Beyond chutzpah: Arianna Huffington objects to PolitiFact claiming she tells "half-truths"

Beyond hypocrisy: Arianna Huffington accuses Fox of "inciting" hate

Why would Ms. Huffington feel so comfortable to make such a statement, when there is such an abundance of physical evidence that proves she's lying? And back to the subject of the Arizona shootings, why would HuffPost betray its publicly-stated standards and practices, its (supposed) journalistic principles, its readers and its advertisers in such a malicious, deliberate way?

Perhaps one day, someone in a position of influence will ask it to answer these questions.

Our speculation is that until now, it's because the mainstream media (which she decries) is simply too timid to expose the reality of what HuffPost routinely incites and tolerates --- perhaps for fear that they may become a "target" (er... "opponent"). Further, like a child whose parents have never set limits, HuffPost has never really been held to account for the hatred it incites and tolerates, so it keeps pushing the envelope further and further, comfortable in the knowledge that no one will hold it to account, and it will never have to pay a price for what it does.

HuffPost's long-term practice of enabling and protection of radical leftist users, Moderators to post open threats & solicitations of murder, violence against these "enemies," in response to its incitement

Furthermore, as we documented in two recent reports (1, 2), HuffPost has been knowingly enabling and protecting even its Moderators to post open, explicit threats and solicitations of murder of notable public figures who, collectively, comprise this "enemy."
(At right: HuffPost's protection of a user to repeatedly threaten, advocate the murder of BP executives, here)

Rather than being isolated incidents, these are mere extensions of HuffPost's long-term facilitation and protection of radical leftist users to do the exact same thing:
examples 1, 2, 3, 4. This pattern even includes enabling and protecting one user for eighteen months, after he boasted he got interviewed in his home by the U.S. Secret Service for his repeated threats against President Bush --- on HuffPost. All of these acts --- by HuffPost, and the users it enables and protects --- may also be violations of federal law.

These are some of the documented reason why we are so deeply concerned that unless HuffPost's acts and omissions are exposed to the general public, someone is going to end up getting hurt or killed.
Action Steps: If, after reading this article, you find yourself shocked, disgusted and gravely concerned at what HuffPost does, incites and tolerates, please consider taking the following action steps:
(1) Make your voice known to HuffPost's senior management and investors here.

(2) Write or call one or more of HuffPost's top advertisers, to let them know your thoughts on what their ad dollars are enabling.

(3) Forward the link to this article to others that you think should be aware of it.
