- HuffPost consistently depicted Operation Cast Lead in almost exactly the way that Hamas wanted: with Israel in the role of brutish, Nazi-like warmonger, Hamas militants described as "security officers" or "security personnel," and Palestinian civilians as the implied target and primary victims of Israel's military.
- In no instance did HuffPost chronicle the harm that Hamas was causing to Palestinian civilians, by instigating this conflict --- or by murdering them, using them as human shields, stealing U.N. relief supplies being sent to them (in part through an Israeli border crossing, etc.).
- In no instance did HuffPost graphically depict the harm that Israelis were, and had been suffering via Hamas terrorism, which is what precipitated its incursion into Gaza.

I certainly don't begrudge that Israel has earned the right to obliterate any group that acts in aggression towards her. Hamas has earned this fate. But Israel is acting against the general public.
Raining phosphous down on children. If Israel is right to be so indiscriminate (and many think this is just a fact of life in war), then who can we be to be critical of others who also target indiscriminately?

I just wish somebody...the U.N. or N.A.T.O. or somebody...would go into the border area between Israel and Gaza and find out who is really firing those rockets. It doesn't make any sense to me for Hamas to be doing it (just as it made no sense to me that Saddam Hussein could actually have an ongoing program to develop nuclear weapons. And he didn't. He was just posturing to confuse his enemies.)
