At 5:24am on May 28, 2009, after discovering the truth behind "rich_misty's" blood libels against American soldiers, I attempted to post the following comments, in reply to his posts, as documented in Part 1.

Note that atop my comment, it says, "This comment is pending approval and won't be displayed until it is approved." This clearly demonstrates that as is documented here --- contrary to its public statements --- HuffPost pre-moderates user comments on its news threads, and only those that it has reviewed and approved are published.At 5:46am and 6:05am, seeing that HuffPost was continuing to approve and publish "rich_misty's" comments in real-time (no moderation), while mine were being blocked, I again attempted to post the above comment:

Again, HuffPost refused to allow this or any of my other comments to be published --- yet it continued to approve and publish "rich_misty's" off-topic, inflammatory blood libels against the U.S. military, and vicious attacks on other users, in real-time.
At 6:10am, I attempted to post the following, in reply to "rich_misty":

Recalling that I'd heard something about some sites using computerized word filters, I modified the word "Jewish" to "J.ewish," in the hopes that this would cause this comment to be published.
At 6:40am, I attempted to post the following, containing the essentials of my research, as an original comment (as opposed to a reply to one of "rich_misty's" posts):

(Note: I incorrectly assumed that with "misty" in the user's name, that "rich_misty" was a female; I discovered on May 30 (see Part 3) that the user is, in fact, a male, named "Mel.")
PDFs taken of the comment threads taken at the time verify that HuffPost refused to publish this comment, but continued allowing "rich_misty" to post at will --- including with more references to the "aztlan" site, and vicious accusations against the U.S. military --- approximately every 3 or 4 minutes, in real-time (no moderation).
By 7:00am, HuffPost was clearly aware of at least credible indications that "rich_misty's" photo-links were fakes, and contained blood libels against U.S. soldiers and Jews.
Yet it refused to publish any of my comments, as is shown in the PDF of my comment history, taken at that time, below (click to enlarge; note date and time-stamp at lower right corner):
In contrast, as the following PDF excerpt shows, HuffPost continued approving and publishing all of "rich_misty's" posts in near real-time (see date- and time-stamp at lower right corner; in this case re birthday greetings to another user, whose off-topic posts HuffPost was also approving and publishing in real-time):

Reluctant to give up on this, I decided to give it one last try before moving on.
"Rich_misty" then began citing what I suspected were fake statistics, claiming that abortions increase during Republican administrations, but declined under Democratic ones. A quick Google search proved me right. Another user, "demrepub" chimed in with a comment, "Consider the source." To which "rich_misty" replied with:

My comment drew a challenge from another user, "DACC", and I then submitted my source data --- along with another slam at "rich_misty" for posting fake pictures of our soldiers, via his/her blood libels. Again, HuffPost rapidly approved and published it:
I then observed HuffPost approve and publish a vicious ad hominem attack against another user by "rich_misty", in which he again claimed outlandish blood libels against American soldiers:
In response, at 7:28am I attempted to post the following --- which HuffPost approved and published:

I then scrolled the thread, and found that HuffPost approved and published another of "rich_misty's" replies to my comments --- claiming that the photos he/she linked to at "aztlan" are "real":
To which I attempted to reply with the following, at 7:49am:
A few minutes later, I tried to post the same comment again, but inserted space-returns between each of the links, hoping that this might make a difference. It didn't; HuffPost sent it right to "pending," a status from which it never emerged.
My proof that HuffPost refused to publish any of my substanive proof that the "aztlan" link that "rich_misty" was posting links to --- and that the photos upon it were fakes --- is shown in the following, my comment archive, taken at 7:53am (see timestamp at lower right):
Soon thereafter, I observed that HuffPost had approved and published yet another vicious, off-topic, ad hominem attack by "rich_misty" on another user --- and a subliminal blood libel against U.S. soldiers (based on his/her previous "comments"):
At 8:05am, I again tried to reply to the above with the following post --- which, as before, HuffPost put into "pending":
At 8:18am, however, HuffPost decided to publish the above comment --- 13 minutes after it was submitted. This was the ONLY substantive post of mine that HuffPost approved and published, after nearly three hours of attempts:
By the time HuffPost approved and published the above comment, the Sotomayor thread was moving much faster. Ultimately, my comment ended up tucked at the bottom of the page, then moved to page 2, and so on --- so the prime opportunity to expose "rich_misty" and all his/her blood libels against our soldiers was partially lost.
A few minutes later, I observed that HuffPost had approved and published a reply from "rich_misty" to my exposing his blood libels, in which he called me a "neo-sybil."
In reply, at 8:16am, I submitted the following comment --- which, as you can see, HuffPost sent directly to "pending," from which it never emerged:
As had become a pattern at this point, whereas it was rapidly approving and publishing the outlandish blood libels, off-topic content and vicious attacks that "rich_misty" was submitting, HuffPost refused to publish my above comment.
Lastly, in frustration, I attempted to post the following --- but neglected to take a screen capture of it:
Once again, HuffPost refused to publish this comment --- but continued to rapidly approve and publish "rich_misty's" off-topic, spamming, incendiary slanders against U.S. soldiers and Republicans in real-time.
As proof of the fact that HuffPost had approved and published only four of my comments in total --- only one of which was a substantive debunking of "rich_misty's" blood libels against our soldiers --- see my comment archive, taken at 8:23am (see timestamp in lower right corner):
