Part 3: HuffPost, finding its false narrative collapsing, doubles-down on its "jihad" against Palin, et al

.
Continued from Part 2: All the critical evidence that HuffPost ignored in the critical first 12 hours, to construct its false narrative

As the days after January 8 unfolded, the reality of the Arizona shooting began circulating throughout the (honest) blogosphere, which fundamentally contradicted the false narrative that HuffPost was maliciously fomenting.

Instead of walking back this false narrative, however, HuffPost's senior staff clearly became even more committed to their "jihad" against Sarah Palin, the Tea Party, and conservatives in general.

In legalistic terms, what you're about to see is a chronology of ten examples of HuffPost's "acts and omissions," all of which could only serve one purpose: to perpetuate misperceptions among its global readership, and further incite hatred against conservatives, the Tea Party, and Sarah Palin in particular.

(1) Jan. 9, 9:16am: Sydney Morning-Herald (Australia) reports possible anti-Semitic links, motive in shooting; HuffPost buries this information --- unlike when it libels Jews/Israel

From GatewayPundit, here:
THE suspect being held over Saturday’s shooting of US Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords may have links to anti-Semitic race hate group American Renaissance. An internal Department of Homeland Security (DHS) memo quoted by FOX News Channel revealed the gunman – named by the media as Jared Loughner, 22 – is “possibly linked” to American Renaissance. The group subscribes to an ideology that is “anti-government, anti-immigration, anti -ZOG (Zionist Occupational Government), anti-Semitic,” according to the DHS memo.

Background: Rep. Giffords is Jewish, a staunch supporter of Israel, and
the first Jewish woman elected to Congress from Arizona, who made her faith a central part of her campaign:
"If you want something done, your best bet is to ask a Jewish woman to do it. Jewish women - by our tradition and by the way we were raised - have an ability to cut through all the reasons why something should, shouldn't or can't be done and pull people together to be successful."

HuffPost devoted not a single headline to the alleged, potential anti-Semitic motivation of the shooting.
It did, however, bury the "hate-group" potential link in a larger story.

This stands in sharp contrast to the fact that whenever it libels Jews or Israel, HuffPost devotes issue-specific headlines to the stories. Examples (m
ore here):
(1) HuffPost published this blood libel, even though reporter admits he has "no idea, no clue" if it's true or not
(2) HuffPost claimed orthodox Jews "spit" on reporter, though the facts undermine claims
(3) HuffPost manipulated this headline to falsely incite hate against Jew

(2) Jan. 9, 9:30am: Gateway Pundit, others ask: Did Obama's violence-laden rhetoric play a role in AZ shootings? HuffPost ignores.

From
here. Samples:
  • Obama to Latino supporters: Punish your enemies!!!”

HuffPost made no mention of any of this as a potential motivating factor of the shooter.

(3) Jan. 9, 11:10am: Politico reports veteran Democratic operatives are urging Obama to "to deftly pin this on the tea partiers”

Honest observers know that if this occurred during the administration of George W. Bush, HuffPost would have made it one of their famous screaming front page red-letter headlines. From GatewayPundit, here:
One veteran Democratic operative, who blames overheated rhetoric for the shooting, said President Barack Obama should carefully but forcefully do what his predecessor did. “They need to deftly pin this on the tea partiers,” said the Democrat. “Just like the Clinton White House deftly pinned the Oklahoma City bombing on the militia and anti-government people.”

Another Democratic strategist said the similarity is that Tucson and Oklahoma City both “take place in a climate of bitter and virulent rhetoric against the government and Democrats.” This Democrat said that the time had come to insist that Republicans stand up when, for example, a figure such as Fox News commentator Glenn Beck says something incendiary.

HuffPost made no mention of any of this.

(Note to HuffPost: Don't attempt to protest that you don't rely on "anonymous sources" as sole sources for your inflammatory headline allegations; recent examples 1, 2)

(4) Jan. 9, 12:42 pm PST: Big Journalism reports Daily Kos's 2008 urging for its radical leftist followers to "destroy" opposing politicians

Might this have helped to motivate the shooter? From here:
"Hence our need this year to take advantage of this perfect Democratic storm to not just win, but to utterly wipe the board clear of as many Republicans as we can catch in this wave.
"A key component of this effort is to destroy their most beloved leaders."

HuffPost made no mention of any of this.

Also recall that as documented in Item 2 in Part 2 of this report, HuffPost ignored the fact that two days before the shooting, Daily Kos published an article, which HillBuz documented here, entitled:
"My Congresswoman (Rep. Giffords) is DEAD to me!"

(5) Jan. 10, 5:24am: Shooter's contact with Rep. Giffords goes back to 2007; he was upset at how she treated him; HuffPost ignores.

From the Wall St. Journal, via GatewayPundit, here:
Accused gunman Jared Lee Loughner appeared to have been long obsessed with U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords.

A safe at Mr. Loughner’s home contained a form letter from Ms. Giffords’ office thanking him for attending a 2007 “Congress on your Corner” event in Tucson. The safe also held an envelope with handwritten notes, including the name of Ms. Giffords, as well as “I planned ahead,” “My assassination,” and what appeared to be Mr. Loughner’s signature, according to an FBI affidavit. [...]

Mr. Loughner had complained to a friend about how he was treated by the Arizona lawmaker during an event several years ago, which aggravated Mr. Loughner, according to the friend.

HuffPost made no mention of any of this.

(6) Jan. 10, 2:41pm: HuffPost claims Rush Limbaugh "bails water" in attempt to help conservatives, Tea Party, Sarah Palin avert responsibility

HuffPost's "Senior Political Director" Howard Fineman (soon after rendering free political counsel to President Obama on how to best capitalizing on the AZ shootings) turned his malicious attention to Rush Limbaugh, and accused him of "bailing water" for conservatives, to deflect responsibility for the perception of their role in the tragedy.

Effectively, Fineman celebrated the fact that for two days, HuffPost had been leading the charge in dumping inflammatory, lie-filled "journalistic" sewage atop conservatives, the Tea Party and Sarah Palin --- and actively suppressed the truth --- and that now, Rush was futilely attempting to "bail" it out:

You can imagine the types of inflammatory user comments this headline incited... and you'd be right. Go see the
story page before HuffPost sanitizes it.

(7) Jan. 10, 3:30pm: HuffPost falsely claimed in headline that Roger Ailes only told Fox News personnel to "tone down" its rhetoric

In yet another attempt to incite radical leftist hatred, HuffPost published the headline at left on its front page. Yet when you open up the actual story page (right), it shows that Ailes told both his own network, and "the other side" to tone down the rhetoric:

You can imagine the types of inflammatory user comments this headline incited though... and you'd be right. Go see the
story page before HuffPost sanitizes it.

(8) Jan. 11, 7:57pm: HuffPost gives top-line coverage to lie-filled article by Robert Kennedy, Jr., insinuating that JFK was murdered by "right-wing violence," who are also responsible for AZ shootings

HuffPost positioned this article at the top of its row of bloggers,
near the top of the front page (right). Some excerpts of the malicious lies that this "professor" at Pace University vomited up, and which HuffPost chose to publish, to continue its falsehood-riddled jihad against conservatives, et al:
Neither Beck, Hannity nor Savage not the hate merchants at Fox News and talk radio can claim to have invented their genre. [...]

[JFK's] death forced a national bout of self-examination. In 1964, Americans repudiated the forces of right-wing hatred and violence with an historic landslide in the presidential election between LBJ and Goldwater. For a while, the advocates of right-wing extremism receded from the public forum. Now they have returned with a vengeance -- to the broadcast media and to prominent positions in political landscape.
Gabrielle Giffords lies in a hospital room fighting for her life, and a precious nine-year-old girl is dead along with five others. Let's pray for them and for our country and hope this tragedy prompts another round of examination of conscience.

An FYI, for our younger readers: JFK was murdered by Lee Harvey Oswald, a revolutionary communist. But since when does HuffPost let little things like 50-year-old facts get in the way of its willingness to foment a global lie?

(9) Jan. 13, 4:58am PST: Palin aide reports threats against Sarah Palin have reached unprecedented levels:

From ABC, via Big Journalism, here:

An aide close to Sarah Palin says death threats and security threats have increased to an unprecedented level since the shooting in Arizona, and the former Alaska governor’s team has been talking to security professionals.

Since the shooting in Tucson, Palin has taken much heat for her “crosshairs” map that targeted 20 congressional Democrats in the 2010 mid-term election, including that of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, who was the main target of Saturday’s attack.

HuffPost made no mention of any of this --- even though its "journalistic jihad" against Palin, and the fact that it's the #1 most-read blog on Earth, and one of America's top ten news sites, makes it is more responsible than most for the incitement of these threats.

(10) Jan. 13, 11:08pm: HuffPost has audacity to post front
page headline, "Sarah Palin's Jewish Problem"

In an other-worldly act of galactic hypocrisy, the website
has effectively become the West's largest inciter and tolerator of anti-Israel and anti-Semitic hatred and propaganda on the Internet, posted this headline on its front page.

At this point, for HuffPost to claim that Sarah Palin has "a Jewish problem" is the equivalent of the Hell's Angels motorcycle gang to claim that the nearest order of monks has a violence problem.

As further evidence of what a cruel joke this article is, what type
of person do you think HuffPost assigned to write it? A theologian? A legal scholar? A veteran religious issues writer? Nope. HuffPost assigned its quasi-literate* Entertainment Reporter, Jordan Zarkarin.
* "The support of Israeli expansion is a strong tenant of Christian Zionism [...]"

As our friends at HuffPostMonitor point out, HuffPost has a far bigger "Jewish Problem" than Sarah Palin.
