"Nonpartisan" HuffPost shills for Obama, liberals in debt ceiling debate; its subversive plans for the 2012 elections

.
Scroll for updates --- including how HuffPost is again reviewing, approving and deciding to publish comments containing solicitations of murder and property destruction... from users and even its Moderators, in response to this incitement. Then, banning users who attempt to speak out against this madness.
Yes, really.

##

As
the #1 most-read blog on Earth, and a top-ten U.S. “news” site --- which repeatedly claims it is a "non-partisan newspaper" --- HuffPost is unquestionably helping to shape public perceptions of important political affairs.

It has now insinuated itself into the debate over raising the U.S. federal debt ceiling.

Judge for yourself whether HuffPost is acting as a nonpartisan broker of accurate information, as it claims (detailed analysis below) --- or whether, as we allege, it is acting as an organ of the Democratic Party's PR machine.

On July 29, HuffPost featured the following headline:

Then, on July 30, HuffPost published this headline:

First, note that in the above frame, only liberals are quoted.

Second, did HuffPost come up with the "wasted day" narrative on its own? Nope. It's a talking point that came directly from Obama's mouth.

Here's the headline story from The Hill, published at 6:00am on July 30:
Obama: House Republicans wasted 'precious days' with Boehner plan

Note that this was18 hours before HuffPost ran with its version of the story (screencap here), at 11:32pm on July 30. And note that HuffPost presented the "wasted day" narrative as its own take on the debate --- not as a quote by Obama.

How do those headlines square with Arianna's repeated claims --- to the public, and her advertisers --- that HuffPost is a "nonpartisan newspaper"?

Throughout the 2008 presidential campaign, HuffPost was accused of being "a conveyor belt for pro-Obama propaganda" --- a charge that the self-proclaimed "nonpartisan" newspaper vehemently denied. Even though HuffPost's CEO at the time, Ken Lerer, reportedly held a fundraiser for Obama in his apartment. While HuffPost repeatedly published demonstrably false, inflammatory "news" stories about Obama's rival candidates, and featuring his ads --- only his ads. We produced a detailed report on all this, here.

It wasn't until three weeks after the election, on November 21, 2008, that Arianna publicly acknowledged --- for the first time --- how close she actually is with Obama:
“I only text (message) three people - my two teenage children and Barack Obama.”

Ah.

Since then, as before November 2008, Arianna has repeatedly denied claims that HuffPost is anything other than an honest, nonpartisan broker of political news and information:
“The editorial stance of the Huffington Post is to debunk the right-left way of thinking, which has become completely obsolete."
- November 14, 2007

"[Huffington] is offended and bewildered by the suggestion that other news outlets think she's getting a free ride. She sees herself as the future of journalism, not the end of it."
- Time, March 19, 2009

“[W]e are increasingly seen ... as an Internet newspaper, not positioned ideologically in terms of how we cover the news.”
- May 22, 2009

“We are aiming to go beyond just facts, to create a narrative.” [...] “We think bringing journalism to a new level is exactly what people are looking for.”
- October 20, 2009

When asked directly if the Huffington Post would have a politically left-wing influence on AOL, Huffington responded, “Of course not.”
- February 9, 2011

To the contrary, as we document in these two special reports, the facts support our contention that Arianna and her minions have been lying to the general public, journalists and her advertisers since HuffPost first opened, in May 2005, about its mission and purpose:
Has Arianna been lying since 2005 about HuffPost's bias, and mission?

"YOU'VE GOT HATE!!!" AOL blows $315 million to buy HuffPost, the Internet's largest inciter and tolerator of hatred

Will any serious national "journalist" ever confront Arianna over her pathological lies concerning HuffPost's bias? Who knows.

Why HuffPost's pathological lies, and leftist bias, are so important to understand, right now:

It is more important than ever that Americans be made aware of these issues, because HuffPost is now ramping up to have an even larger impact on the 2012 election than it did in 2008 --- particularly via what Arianna considers the crown jewel of AOL's content assets, "Patch":
As 2012 Election Season Ramps Up, AOL's Patch Will Launch 33 Sites In 'Key' Primary States
Tech Crunch, May 16th, 2011
In its last earnings report, AOL revealed that it poured $40 million into its hyperlocal news platform Patch in the quarter. It’s no secret that AOL, Arianna Huffington and CEO Tim Armstrong have high hopes for Patch. And today, the company is announcing that that Patch will launch 33 new sites in New Hampshire, Iowa, and South Carolina —the first three states to hold primaries in 2012. [...]

The 33 new primary state sites aims to provide a platform for citizens, candidates, and influencers to discuss local issues and events, including the impact of national and state issues on the local landscape heading into the 2012 election season. Patch’s journalists will cover issues on the sites and the hyperlocal news sites will also aim to serve as a non-partisan forum.
Again, with the lie claim of "non-partisanship." If you believe that, you would probably also believe that Arianna is now selling timeshares... on Uranus.

Also, see this detailed analysis of the radical leftist bias of "Patch," by Victory Institute's Gary Johnson.

Do Arianna's advertisers want to become known for funding her incendiary propaganda? You might
ask them about it. And while you're at it, you might also ask them whether or not they're aware that their ad dollars are enabling HuffPost to engage in its pathological, malicious incitement of hate against the U.S. military, Israel and Jews, the Tea Party and conservative individuals and organizations.

UPDATE 1, JULY 31: HuffPost is again reviewing, approving and deciding to publish comments containing solicitations of murder and property destruction... from users and even its Moderators, in response to this incitement --- then banning users who attempt to speak out

Over the past eight months, we've documented incident after incident after incident after incident in which HuffPost has knowingly, deliberately enabled and protected its users and Moderators to post death threats and solicitations of violent crimes. In fact, our documentation goes back several years, showing how HuffPost pathologically protects the worst-of-the-worst users and moderators, while censoring and banning users who dare to attempt to speak out against them.

In response to this latest example of its incitement against conservatives, HuffPost once again began approving and publishing such comments from its users and Moderators.

We'll start with one of its longest-term, most-protected Moderators, "GOPtakesEllisDee", whom it has been enabling for more than two years:

I've said it before... and I'll say it again... Its time to start burning those gated communities and take our country back.

Previously, from GOPTakesEllisDee: a solicitation to other users to murder bankers (featured here, and forwarded to HuffPost management in December 2010; a compilation of violent rants of many other HuffPost moderators). In another case, HuffPost enabled him to openly advocate burning people's homes, including governors' mansions and the homes of the Koch brothers. Despite all this, HuffPost continues to enable and protect GOPTakesEllisDee, while banning other users, some after as few as one comment, who dare to attempt to complain.

And how quickly can and does HuffPost ban a user who attempts to speak up against this kind of madness? Take a look. Below, "OneandDoneObama_Outin20" mocks a long-term, protected maniac, "Shouterguy" (1,253 "fans"), whom HuffPost permitted to claim if the "Kochbots" keep legislating, he's going to "keep "reloading."

As shown in the screencap below, a few hours later, HuffPost banned "OneandDone..."
but left "Shouterguy" free to continue posting his violent comments:

  2. Wow! {laughing}

This place is exactly like how Liberals complain about FAUX Tabloid TV, never failing to remember that businesses are privately owned and operated for the purpose of commerce and providing value to their shareholders.

    @ Anonymous 10:37am:

Guess you missed it: HuffPost claims it is a nonpartisan newspaper, and sold itself to AOL and advertisers under that lie. "Businesses are privately owned and operated for the purpose of commerce and providing value to their shareholders." How funny - isn't that what liberals claim is the root of all evil today? Any enterprise that is operated for (gasp!) profit, which is not regulated in total by government?

Well, why do liberals defend Arianna when she lies so pathologically, about everything under the sun, including calling her hate site a "nonpartisan" "news" source? If she's your standard-bearer, should you not at least be able to claim she's honest about the most basic aspect of what she does? After all, she's in the "news" business, right?

Try to get your thinking straightened out, then c'mon back and try again. This time, it was a massive fail.

  5. @ Anonymous 8:55pm:

I got an email earlier today by a reader who'd advised me that you are stalking anyone you claim is "Beej," and/or the creator of this site, on HuffPost.

The posts he sent me were sufficient to indicate that you are, in fact, a raving, stalking psycho. Of course, I've kept an archive of the posts I received, in case you decide to become even more psycho.

    Since you're a new psycho-commenter here, let's get a few things straight:

    1) There is no "Beej" affiliated with this site. Never has been. There is a "Beej," but he's a reader and longtime friend. Then, there are apparently several other "Beejs" who have voluntarily taken up that mantra, because the mere name so winds up the stalkers at HuffPost - now including you, merely by posting truth and snark.

    2) Have you ever asked yourself the question, "How do I know that's Beej, or 'a Beej'?," as you now know there are multiple conservatives who like to play that role? Where did you first hear that? Yeah - the ether. Or, from HuffPost's most infamous psycho-stalker, JohnCT. Who takes his stalking off-line. Who openly threatens users, their families, their children, even their pets. Who has been visited twice by the FBI because of his documented activities on HuffPost. Is that who you are obtaining your info from? Therein lies one of your major problems. You need to vet your "friends" with a lot more care.

    3) I would strongly suggest that you seek psychiatric help up there in Grand Rapids, MI.
Just open up your laptop, with the 1280 x 800 resolution, running Firefox atop Windows NT, using Comcast Cable as your ISP, IP #71.205.111.xxx, and Google "Psychiatrists Grand Rapids MI."

    5) And if you cannot afford the care you need, you should contact one of the free clinics in your area.

Hope this all helps you out. Don't write back.

    1. Poor little Beej pussy. Don't like it, do you, Head Case Beej, when someone uses your tactics against you? Well tough, Beej. Your days of bullying others at HP are about to end.

Talk about mental illness. You seriously need hospitalization, Beej, before you hurt Mrs. Beej or the little Beej-ette.
